Inspiration

Shopping
The region is full of craft shops and galleries. There you’ll find wood carvings, jewelry, and many souvenirs showcasing Maori culture.

Out for a walk
On foot, on horseback, by boat, by helicopter… You’ll never run out of ideas for your outings! If you love nature, we recommend joining Russel, a member of the Ornithological Society, who will take you on a tour to see the region’s birds. You can go for walks without even leaving the property—ranging from 10 minutes to 2 hours. Don’t forget to ask for your picnic lunch.

Zen
The spa offers a wide variety of treatments, allowing everyone to enjoy an experience that’s perfectly tailored to them. Both signature treatments and massages—for the body and face—are available for men and women. Yoga classes and a personal trainer are available upon request.

In the suitcase
Be sure to bring a very high SPF sunscreen in the summer. The sun gets very strong very quickly in New Zealand. Buy a wide-brimmed hat if needed. Bring your golf gear if you’re a fan of the sport, smart attire for restaurants, and everything you need to enjoy nature walks.
