Caesar Augustus, Anacapri, Italy

Two hundred years ago, the magnificent Caesar Augustus was still a private residence that hosted artists and intellectuals. Today, it is a splendid hotel with 49 rooms and six Master Suites. Nestled on the cliffside, 300 meters above sea level, the five-star Caesar Augustus invites you to a holiday of blissful relaxation.

If the Master Suites seem a bit out of your budget, we recommend the Junior Suite with a sea view, or ideally, the Junior Suite with a view of the Bay of Naples and cliffside (sea view cliffside). The suites are approximately 35 m² in size.2 and if you have the opportunity, book during the low season, as you will benefit from a truly attractive rate.

Caesar Augustus clearly emphasizes its stunning views. In addition to your suite's terrace, you can admire the Bay of Naples from the bar's terrace, as well as from the 27-meter-long infinity pool. And when it comes to panoramic views, let's admit it will be hard to find better: you will undoubtedly be breathless at the beauty of the landscape. Between the blue of the sky and that of the sea, it is almost impossible to tell the difference.

The Caesar Augustus has a restaurant with a view, of course: Lucullus' Terrace. Between sky and sea, you will rightly feel privileged. Contemplate Mount Vesuvius and the Sorrento Peninsula at sunset while enjoying cuisine that emphasizes local produce. Some vegetables even come from the restaurant's garden.

In a nutshell

  • An incredible view of Vesuvius and the Sorrento Peninsula.
  • Two hundred years ago, the hotel was a private residence.
  • The ideal hotel to feel cut off from the world.

Restoring yourself: Il Riccio

One Michelin star establishment, The Hedgehog welcomes you for lunch or dinner by the sea. Located within the very select Capri Palace hotel, this restaurant is ideal for a welcome shady break, especially in summer. You will enjoy typically Mediterranean cuisine, served and presented with care. Il Riccio is open all day, and seafood lovers will particularly appreciate the menu. Admire the skill of the teams in action thanks to the beautiful open kitchen.

With the kids

Opt for a suite if possible so that everyone can enjoy the view. The hotel has two infinity pools. Caesar Augustus is entirely terraced and is directly perched on the cliff. Therefore, you'll need to keep an eye on the little ones.
