Château La Chenevière in Port-en-Bessin…
Halfway between the medieval town of Bayeux and the historic D-Day beaches, and just a stone’s throw from the moving American cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, the village of Port-en-Bessin is a little haven of peace on the Côte Fleurie.
A house steeped in history, the’five-star hotel Today’s estate bears his name in reference to the hemp cultivation that took place there in the 17th century. While the architecture and décor pay an elegant tribute to Normandy, the exotically inspired gardens really capture our interest! Without any ostentatious luxury, the hotel opens onto the park, and its twenty-nine rooms are cozy retreats…
At the table, we feasted on local specialties (such as Normandy beef and hay-fed chicken, served with vegetables from the estate’s permaculture garden)—all given a delicious twist!
The cherry (or rather, the apple) on top? The heated outdoor pool and the massage center!

The Château d’Audrieu in… Audrieu!
It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in authentic castle life during a stay in this small town located southeast of Bayeux (which is also entirely near the D-Day beaches), this historic estate, with its thirty rooms and suites as well as its luxury treehouse, invites us to step into a timeless haven.
Amid a 17th-century Norman atmosphere that, of course, blends seamlessly with all the comforts of contemporary luxury hospitality, you can escape by strolling through the lush gardens, swim in the shade of tall trees, book a treatment at the spa—in short, take your time!
That little extra something? The chance to enjoy a sophisticated barbecue or a vibrant picnic prepared by the chef in the twenty-five-hectare park…

The Grand Hôtel Cabourg – MGallery in… Cabourg!
Right on the water (or rather, with its foundations in the sand!), this luxury hotel—located on Cabourg’s Grande Plage and built in 1907—served as a place of residence and inspiration for the illustrious author Marcel Proust. Situated alongside the most popular seaside resorts, it is loved above all for its style, deeply rooted in the tradition of the Belle Époque’s grand hotels.
What are its highlights? The property and its 71 rooms and suites have been recently renovated to create a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant, led by Chef Jérôme Lebeau (a former apprentice of Guy Savoy, among others), and his signature dish, “Sole Meunière with steamed potatoes,” are not to be missed.
