A Favorite in Reims: The Hôtel Les Crayères, the legendary 5-star hotel near the Champagne cellars
Once the home of the Marquise de Polignac, the Domaine des Crayères is a true rural oasis just a stone's throw from downtown Reims. This sumptuous five-star Relais & Châteaux property, the most beautiful hotel in Reims is surrounded by a 7-hectare park, ideal for a stroll after lunch or to work up an appetite before dinner. About twenty rooms and suites are spread across the château’s various wings, most of which offer a direct view of the park. The interior décor is a true tribute to the French art of living, featuring rare furniture, period paintings, and plush carpets. This refinement extends to the dining room, with its beautiful wood paneling and grand fireplaces.
It is in this dining room—or on the terrace when the weather permits—that guests can savor the innovative and refined dishes created by the two-Michelin-starred chef Philippe Mille. As a lover of fine ingredients and the stories of those who grow them, the chef has done a remarkable job of showcasing the Champagne region’s terroir. These dishes are like works of art that pay tribute to local artisans and producers. For meals that are a bit less exclusive but just as delicious, head to Le Jardin, the brasserie located at the far end of the park, where you’ll find ingredients carefully selected by the chef, presented in slightly simpler dishes.
A superb spot and one of the most beautiful hotels in Champagne—you’ll quickly feel like you’re in a world of your own!

Our favorite hotel among the vineyards: Le Royal Champagne
This former post house, converted into a 5-star hotel, is a contemporary gem nestled in the heart of the vineyards. The 47 rooms and suites feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering unobstructed panoramic views of the vineyards. Pastel and vibrant hues, natural materials blending wood and stone, and nods to the surrounding vineyards adorn the interiors of the hotel and guest rooms, designed by architect Sybille de Margerie. The relaxing atmosphere invites contemplation, which guests can also indulge in at the superb 1,500-square-meter spa.
With nine treatment rooms, two pools (one indoor and one outdoor), a hammam, a sauna, and a hot tub, it’s hard not to relax! The amenities are rounded out by a yoga studio, a fitness center, and a beauty salon. Like the rest of the hotel, the pool offers a 360° view of the vineyards and even features a sun deck where you can soak up the sun while admiring the vineyards. Another major highlight of this luxurious resort is the Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Chef Jean-Denis Rieubland, where guests can savor his creations beneath the restaurant’s crystal chandeliers or, weather permitting, on the terrace. Undeniably one of the most pleasant and luxurious hotels in Champagne.
