The Most Beautiful Hotels in Reims
June 10, 2026 Audrey

The capital of coronations and gateway to the Champagne vineyards, Reims is as worthy of an overnight stay as it is of a visit. From triple-starred restaurants to apartments nestled opposite the cathedral, here are 5 places to transform a getaway in Champagne into a true sojourn.

Les Crayères Estate

Behind the gates of a seven-hectare park perched on the UNESCO-listed Saint-Nicaise hill, Domaine Les Crayères has been the grande dame of Reims for over a century, just minutes from the city center. The château, built in the early 20th century for the Polignac family, retains its classic elegance: moldings, high ceilings, large windows overlooking the trees. The rooms and suites, ranging from 30 to 57 m², face either the main courtyard or the leafy surroundings, offering a rare tranquility so close to the city. A member of Relais & Châteaux, the establishment also boasts three Keys from the Michelin Guide.

The table of this hotel in Reims remains the heart of the estate. At the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Parc, Chef Christophe Moret serves French cuisine that emphasizes vegetables without sacrificing rich sauces; Brasserie Le Jardin holds the only Bib Gourmand in Reims, and Bar la Rotonde serves aperitifs under the trees. For bubbly, the cellar houses grower Champagnes and grand crus. Scheduled for completion in late 2026, a 750 m² spa designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon will extend the experience with a pool and wellness circuit overlooking the garden.

La Caserne de Chanzy Hotel & Spa

It's hard to imagine that this 5-star hotel until the 2000s, the Reims fire station. Built in 1926 in the Art Deco style, the 5,500 m² building reopened in 2019 under the Autograph Collection brand, retaining traces of its first life: the relief of firefighters on the facade and the old hose drying tower, which has become a neighborhood landmark. Inside, the Julie Fuillet studio designed a decor that revisits the codes of Fine Arts and Reims residences. The 89 rooms and suites are divided into five categories, from the most sober to the Rooftop Duplex; nearly half overlook the cathedral, two streets away.

On the ground floor, the restaurant La Grande Georgette opens onto a terrace facing the Gothic spire, while the more casual Little Georgette and the bar Le Jardin d’hiver keep the evening going. To recover, the Deep Nature spa offers a sauna, steam room, aquatic circuit, and treatment rooms. What remains is the essential: sleeping facing a 13th-century masterpiece, in a decor that has forgotten nothing of 1926.

The Residence of the Sacred

Scale change at the foot of the cathedral: Since 2013, La Demeure des Sacres has been more like a private home than a hotel. The building, dating back to the late 19th century, only offers four rooms: two bedrooms (23 and 27 sq m) and two suites (37 and 46 sq m), named La Rémoise, Art-Déco, Côté Jardin, and Royale, each furnished in a chic and relaxed style. With its Art Deco lounge, a garden managed by a landscaper, and a private wellness area with a sauna, you can settle in here as if you were at a friend's house with impeccable taste.

No restaurant or uniformed reception. It's Céline, the hostess, who sets the pace. Every morning, she serves a homemade breakfast—jams, pastries, and products from the Champagne region—in the living room or, in good weather, in the garden. An address for those who want the city on foot and silence upon return.

The Cradle of the Cathedral

For those who prefer a temporary home to a hotel room, Les Berceaux de la Cathédrale rents out two high-end apartments in a fully renovated 2016 Art Deco building, two hundred meters from Notre Dame. On the third floor, Le Loft, rated 4 stars, boasts a contemporary style: open spaces, abundant natural light, and a bathroom tucked under a skylight veiled with white linen. One floor below, Les Parisiennes, rated 5 stars, embraces a more classic feel with its parquet floors, moldings, and Parisian-style furnishings.

Each accommodation features a fully equipped kitchen, a King Size bed, a living area, and balconies from which the cathedral can be seen at sunrise. You can settle in as a couple or family for a few nights, with the idea of experiencing Reims like a local rather than a transient guest. The neighborhood is not lacking in good restaurants or shops.

L'Assiette Champenoise Hotel

Three kilometers from the center, in the town of Tinqueux, L'Assiette Champenoise owes its reputation primarily to its cuisine. The eponymous restaurant, a three-star establishment in the 2026 Michelin Guide, is the domain of Arnaud Lallement, who champions a product-focused cuisine summarized by his credo: «Eat real.» His blue lobster, an «homage to my father,» and his Onjon squab are among the most talked-about dishes in the region.

However, the house isn't just about its kitchens. Within a walled park, the bourgeois building houses 33 contemporary rooms and suites, some of which offer a terrace with a private spa bath or hammam. An indoor pool, a bar under a glass roof, and large lounges extend the escape for those who book a room after dinner – the wisest option when the cellar, one of the most extensive in Champagne, makes you want to linger. Under the Relais & Châteaux label, the’5-star hotel Imagine the paradox of a grand table set far from the hustle and bustle, in a suburb where nothing would lead you to expect it.
