Qualia Just the name of this hotel is a dream! And what could be more wonderful than staying on an island located near the Great Barrier Reef? Unlike some hotels, Qualia's pavilions ALL face the sea. Sixty pavilions offering you breathtaking views of the Coral Sea as well as the island. The Leeward pavilions are the most accessible in terms of price, but we admit to having a soft spot for the Windward pavilions, all of which have their own private pool with a sea view: a true little piece of paradise. Each pavilion has its own small vehicle for easier movement within the resort: smart!
The entire hotel architecture makes extensive use of wood, which you will find not only in your room, but also in the restaurants. For dinner, two options are available: while the Long Pavilion presents itself as a very refined restaurant, the Pebble Beach is more informal and perfect for a relaxed lunch. Of course, if we were you, we'd stay in our room for dinner, for more magic!
And if you're afraid of getting bored (shame on you!), know that Qualia has thought of everything. «Signature» activities have been designed for you: from golf to cooking classes to the obvious exploration of the Great Barrier Reef. Dine: Long Pavilion
Of course, it's hard to advise you to go out to dinner anywhere other than your hotel: what a pointless waste of time! Dine at the Long Pavilion restaurant at Qualia and enjoy a meal with a view of the sea and the sunset. You will feast on local products: some of the vegetables even come from the island! A tip: treat yourself to the 10-course tasting menu for a pure moment of indulgence!
With the kids
Ask the concierge and they will drop you off directly at a beach with a picnic for the whole family. Take the opportunity to go snorkeling all together.
