Verana

Yelapa, Mexico

Verana, Yelapa, Mexico

Verana is a special establishment: you could almost say that staying at Verana is earned. Moreover, to get there, you'll need to take a taxi from Puerta Vallarta to Boca de Tomatlan, then a boat to Yelapa. Once you arrive, you and your luggage will be transported to the top of the hill. You've made it!

And what you are about to discover will transform your vision of travel and the exceptional. Because far from luxury hotels and world-renowned establishments, Verana invites you to dream, in the heart of a lush jungle and far, far away, from civilization. All the houses are different: it's up to you to select yours, depending on whether you prefer to feel like you're living in the heart of nature, clinging to a hillside, or in a cool cocoon house facing the sea.

It's impossible to decide for you as the houses are so different: one likes the Blue House for its private pool and incredible view, but we also love the Pool House for its intimate feel and its superb pool. Want to get a higher perspective? The Tea House we're waiting for you: we promise you won't regret your choice, whatever it may be!

Verana has designed all-inclusive packages so you won't have to think about anything once you're there. We like the «Be Active» package, which includes a different activity each day for 5 days, in addition to all meals, according to your wishes. You also enjoy a daily yoga lesson.

Verana invites you, above all, to do absolutely nothing. With such a view, extricating yourself from your little jungle house can feel like real torture. On land and sea, the activities offered will delight outdoor sports enthusiasts as well as the more contemplative: walks on foot or on horseback, whale watching, cooking classes... And if you dream of a beach all to yourself: just ask, and a boat will take you to a small cove, just for you!

Reservations are a minimum of three nights upon request and a minimum of five nights during certain periods.

In a nutshell

  • A hotel far from the world, nestled on a hill.
  • A stay in the heart of a lush jungle.
  • A pool with an incredible view.

Dining:

In your home or at the restaurant, Verana does everything it can so that you can enjoy the best of Mexican cuisine. Take advantage of the country's richness: fruits and vegetables will be served to you in abundance. Don't hesitate to opt for an all-inclusive reservation, because frankly, it will be complicated and relatively useless to try to have lunch or dinner elsewhere. Between the view and the quality of the dishes served, we absolutely advise against it.

With the kids

Le Verana is a hotel primarily designed for romantic getaways, solo trips, or stays with friends. However, some of the houses are large enough to accommodate families.

Plan to spend a lot of time in the pool with them!

Inspiration

Shopping
Verana has a small shop where you'll find many beautiful gift ideas. We recommend shops where you can find local crafts: the Huichol Indians, in particular, make many decorative objects out of beads.

Out for a walk
For a walk that is both typical and includes a touch of adventure, ask to see the Yelapa waterfalls. You can bathe there while enjoying a walk in nature.

Zen
Treat yourself to a few hours at Verana's spa. Choose from Jungle Massage, the hotel's signature massage. And to make the experience complete, an under-the-stars bath will invite you to total release: an incredibly poetic moment!

In the suitcase
The hotel has WiFi, but is it really necessary to bring your laptop and tablet?
