10 questions were asked about the trip to the Michelin-starred chef., Thomas Boullault.
Immersed in the world of gastronomy from a young age, this great chef always wanted to make his passion his profession. And he has succeeded! Thanks to his boldness, he decided to try his luck in Paris after his studies. He very quickly obtained a position in the brigade at George V, where he discovered palace cuisine.
It was in 2007 that everything changed for Thomas Boullault, when he met Eric Martins, who offered him the position of head chef of the’Aroma. In 2009, at the age of 28, the young chef earned a star for his restaurant, just as he had hoped. Challenge accomplished, and he doesn't plan on stopping there!
Today, the chef offers his customers cuisine that reflects him, where each creation has meaning. With a very personal menu, he blends balance and flavors.

JR : For you, traveling is synonymous with...?
Of culinary discoveries, of course! And above all, of exchange and sharing!
JR : What is the first item you put in your suitcase? Why?
My iPhone charger! And a very good bottle of champagne! For me, travel rhymes with encounters. It's always the perfect opportunity to share some bubbles, on a paradise beach or lost in the mountains.
JR : When you travel in dreams, where do you go?
My latest dream is precisely Route 66. To go with my friends on motorcycles and stop at the most beautiful restaurants in the United States! This dream should actually become a reality soon…
JR : Your worst travel memory?
The Seychelles for my honeymoon! My wife was perfect, but the trip didn't go as planned... It would be a bit long to tell, but we've made up for it since, don't worry!
JR : A perfume that invites you to escape?
There are so many! Tandoori spices, Japanese green tea, and Burmese coffee, for example... So many aromas that inspire me, and that you'll find in my dishes!
JR : What is your next destination?
Hong Kong with my friend Mathieu!
JR : What is your favorite hotel? For what reasons?
The Georges V in Paris! One of the most beautiful palaces in the capital! Each time it's a true journey, a moment of refinement and escape, without even having to leave Paris!
JR : What do you do to pass the time on a plane?
I read and watch movies... A rare luxury with my hectic pace!
JR : What is your best travel memory from when you were a child?
My first flight from Paris to Nice with my parents! The first time I took a plane, a big moment for a 7-year-old boy!
JR : You feel at home when you are...?
In Sologne, my home region, the one that recharges me and where I count my closest friends!
