Of course, going on vacation to Thailand presents a real dilemma: which hotel should you choose? There are so many! We’ve already told you about one of our favorite hotels, the’Amanpuri, but I simply can't help but introduce you to one of the country's most beautiful establishments, the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai. If you love peace and quiet, nature, and feeling far away from the world and its troubles, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for at this hotel!

Among the 98 pavilions and villas, if you only need one bedroom, we recommend the villa with a pool. More than just a pool, it’s actually a natural pond that you can enjoy in complete privacy. You’ll have your own garden and a breathtaking view of the Suthep mountain range. The size of your villa might make you never want to leave: 77 m² of interior space and no less than 280 m² of garden and pool area—enough to relax, unwind, and feel right at home! The interiors of the pavilions and villas are, of course, extremely refined: while Asian-inspired, they remain elegant without being over the top.

And if you finally manage to leave your nest, the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai has, of course, thought of everything to make you feel 100% relaxed. A stunning pool, tennis, golf, fitness, cooking classes, as well as birdwatching and strolls through the hotel grounds… just about anything is possible! If you’d like to learn a little more about Thai culture, you can learn how to plant rice, speak a few words, and even try your hand at Thai kickboxing (or at least a few moves…).

Lan Sai Village at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai welcomes you to shop for souvenirs: five boutiques offer a selection of beautiful clothing and home décor items. Of course, everything has been carefully curated to reflect the elegance of the resort.

In a nutshell

  • For those who love peace and quiet and nature.
  • A beautiful swimming pool, tennis, golf, fitness, cooking classes…
  • All the areas are very beautiful and close to nature.

Dining: Sala Mae Rim Restaurant

The Sala Mae Rim restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai offers a wide variety of dishes for every time of day. Whether you choose vegetarian options or Thai specialties, you’ll love the freshness of the ingredients. The gourmet breakfast deserves a special mention.

And if you’d rather not leave your villa, you can enjoy dinner there in complete privacy. Room service is available at any time of day or night. Finally, if you’re looking for a unique experience, the hotel also offers breakfast in the rice paddies—definitely worth trying!

With the kids

The Gecko Club welcomes children ages 4 to 12, who can play and enjoy a variety of activities. You can also bring your children under 4, who can play under your supervision.

There are many activities available for children and teens: learning how to plant rice, cooking classes, Muay Thai, and more.

The Spa offers treatments specifically designed for children ages 6 to 12. These one-hour treatments are sure to be a hit with the kids.

Inspiration

Shopping
Nimmahemin Street welcomes you to Chiang Mai for all your handicraft and souvenir shopping. You’ll find many small shops there. The Sunday Walking Street is a must-see if you’re in Chiang Mai on a Sunday: this market will give you the chance to admire the talent of the region’s artisans.

Out for a walk
There’s no shortage of ideas for day trips in Chiang Mai. We especially love the Mae Sa Waterfall and Doi Inthanon National Park, which is part of the Himalayan mountain range.

Zen
Nothing less than a true haven of relaxation and tranquility, the spa at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai will treat you to a truly soothing sensory experience. The Royal Lanna Signature treatment is a must-try: get ready for a moment of pure sensuality!

In the suitcase
Insect repellent is generally very useful, especially for day trips.
