In 1893, the Confiserie Bordelaise became the Saunion Chocolate Shop. And since 1934, the workshop and store have been located on Cours Clémenceau in Bordeaux. But the story doesn’t end there—quite the contrary. Since 2008, Saunion has been ranked among the 12 best chocolatiers in France, a distinction awarded by the Chocolate Lovers' Club.

La Guinette, a fresh cherry soaked in kirsch, dipped in a chocolate fondant, and coated in dark chocolate is also a favorite among the people of Bordeaux.
