We asked ten questions about the trip to Stephanie, manager of the restaurant Dosage Dosage Addictive !
Based in Bordeaux, Stéphanie opened her organic restaurant Dose Posologie Addictive out of conviction and a desire to share. The establishment offers «modern green» cuisine with many vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Generous in her cooking, Stéphanie always brings back new recipe ideas from other cultures during her travels. A meeting with this globetrotting cook.

JR : For you, traveling is synonymous with...?
Dive in! Immerse yourself completely in a rhythm, a natural setting, customs, a foreign country! Above all, don't do anything as usual.
JR : What is the first item you put in your suitcase? Why?
A very large, shapeless straw hat brought back from Dakar, it endures everything... saltwater, sun, time... but it's so precious, and a bottle of organic coconut oil. They clearly announce the start of the holidays!

JR : When you travel in dreams, where do you go?
A trip around the world with my daughter for 6 months... But Corfu (Greece) is a true paradise, for an epicurean like me, I often dream of diving back into its crystal-clear waters...
JR : Your worst travel memory?
25 years ago, one of my very first long trips was to the Caribbean, but on a low-cost budget... I got off the plane with a friend, we were ready to explore the archipelago by boat, and then stop! Seasickness never left me, and every crossing to reach the different islands was a real nightmare lived deep in the hold.
Finally, beautiful discoveries, like the wild Dominica, which quickly make one forget the rough nights at sea!

JR : A perfume that invites you to escape?
A culinary escape, of course! I'm particularly fond of the scent of Bissap (hibiscus flower) iced tea, and in fact, it will soon be available at my restaurant DOSE. This aroma reminds me of Saint-Louis in Senegal.
I also love the scent of spices, like in the Medina in Marrakech, the watermelon lemonade from Essaouira, or even the orange blossom that transports me to Lebanon, where I was born. It's a sweet and delicate scent. And of course, coconut oil (organic only), beneficial for both the inside and outside of the body, including hair!
JR : What is your next destination?
Surely Portugal for a summer getaway with friends. Everyone's talking about it right now, and it makes me want to go back! A little trip to Lisbon or Porto. And then in a few months, Florida for a family reunion.

JR : What is your favorite hotel? For what reasons?
A luxurious and breathtaking riad in Essaouira, just steps away from the bustling souk. You pass through a magnificent, carved doorway, and suddenly you're invited into a world of luxury, calm, and pleasure! It feels as though you are the only guests there.
You'll discover a colorful and fresh kitchen, and savor mouth-watering fruit juices and perfect avocado smoothies! A few days are enough to recharge your batteries!
JR : What do you do to pass the time on a plane?
The journey has already begun at the airport! But on long-haul flights, I've sometimes had some very friendly seatmates who make the time fly by. Daydreaming in the clouds or a pile of magazines, just in case... and with my daughter, it's all sorts of games!

JR : What is your best travel memory from when you were a child?
Precisely, Portugal discovered on a family road trip when I was 12 or 13! I remember very colorful facades in Porto, laundry hanging across the alleys, warm bread rolls, fishing with oxen on the beach, pulling large nets full of fish, and around it all, the hustle and bustle of the village, but above all, Portuguese hospitality and kindness. I need to go back and check my childhood memories!
JR : You feel at home when you are...?
In Beirut, New York, Corfu, Dakar, ultimately a little everywhere! A true chameleon, it's surely my mixed heritage that allows me this boldness!
