Top 6 Best Hotel Rooftops in Paris to Enjoy the Summer
May 29, 2026 Audrey

Perched atop the capital’s most beautiful hotels, these rooftops offer a different perspective on Paris. Views of the Eiffel Tower, sunsets over Haussmann-style rooftops, signature cocktails, panoramic restaurants, and a unique, ethereal atmosphere: these exceptional terraces have become destinations in their own right. From the 7th arrondissement to the heights of the 13th, including the most hidden gems on the Right Bank, here is our selection of the most beautiful ones hotel rooftops in Paris to get a bird's-eye view while enjoying a drink, dinner, or an overnight stay.

SAX Paris

The setting? On the Left Bank, just a stone’s throw from the Champ-de-Mars and across from the Eiffel Tower, the SAX has set up shop at 55 Avenue de Saxe. The property is part of the LXR Hotels & Resorts collection, Hilton’s ultra-luxury division, and brings together under one roof a gallery, a bar, a secret garden, a spa, two restaurants, and a rooftop. The 7th arrondissement at its most contemporary—sophisticated yet relaxed.

The style? In the guest rooms, the focus is on marble, clean lines, high-quality materials, and the small details that define the hotel’s signature style. A touch of the Left Bank: the minibars bear the Bon Marché label.

The rooftop? We head up to the top floor for what truly gives this place its meaning: the Kinugawa rooftop, a terrace facing the Eiffel Tower, with Parisian landmarks stretching out along the horizon. The view changes as the hours pass. At noon, enjoy lunch with your feet in the sky; at the end of the day, sip an aperitif at sunset, when the Iron Lady turns golden and the light glides over the rooftops; in the evening, it’s time to sit down to dinner, as the restaurant serves Japanese cuisine—the Kinugawa signature, where the view and the plate complement each other. The climb up here is the highlight of the stay.

The restaurant? Kinugawa Rive Gauche: Parisian sophistication meets contemporary Japanese cuisine, featuring sashimi, creative maki rolls, and fish seared over binchotan charcoal. Just downstairs, SAX55 specializes in seasonal cuisine; Bar 55, meanwhile, offers house-made cocktails, wines, and champagnes to enjoy at the bar or in the private garden. On Sundays, the rooftop Japanese brunch features an array of signature sushi and matcha cocktails.

How many keys? From the 24 m² SAX Room to the 80 m² Signature Suite—the hotel’s largest—the room categories are arranged in tiers, with some offering views of the rooftops on the 7th floor and others overlooking the landscaped garden. In between, the Jardin d’Hiver Suite (40 m²) and the Prestige Junior Suite (50 m²) offer plenty of space to enjoy your stay.

What makes the difference? Customization taken to the extreme: a personal shopper to scour Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, a private jet trip departing from Le Bourget, and a private, skip-the-line tour of the Eiffel Tower. And to unwind, SAX Le Club offers Technogym equipment, a sauna, a steam room, treatment rooms, a swimming pool, and a jacuzzi.

Le Brach Paris

The setting? In the 16th arrondissement, near the Trocadéro, a former postal sorting center from the 1970s has been given a new lease on life: 7,000 m² that Evok Collection entrusted to the creative vision of Philippe Starck. In this luxury hotel in Paris, the designer weaves together 1930s architecture, the Bauhaus, and the Surrealists, raw materials—wood, leather, concrete, glass, marble—and a collection of unusual objects. A five-star hotel that, according to Starck, feels more like a living space than a hotel.

The style? In the guest rooms, Starck incorporates rosewood, marble, fluted glass, and a host of vintage finds, all bathed in the soft light streaming through the fully glazed facade. The minibar, meanwhile, has been transformed into a concept store.

The rooftop? On sunny days, we head up high: the rooftop features a vegetable garden and a 360° view of the Parisian rooftops. Every summer, the space gets a makeover—this season, it becomes Villa Minuty, a tribute to Provence and the Var estate that has been producing its rosé since 1936. With furnishings and color schemes inspired by the shores of the French Riviera, and a menu featuring Provençal aperitifs and the estate’s wines—from the Or range to the 281 cuvée—it’s the perfect spot to toast to a Saint-Tropez-style summer, high above Paris. The kind of place where you find yourself putting off dinner without even realizing it.

The restaurant? In the kitchen, Adam Bentalha—who has worked at the Ritz, the Shangri-La, and the Prince de Galles, and is now executive chef of the Evok group—presents Mediterranean cuisine with Eastern influences, focused on a balance of flavors: stuffed gnocchi and squid bolognese with pastis, sumac-marinated salmon, stracciatella, and mint oil. At the bar, the focus remains on the Mediterranean, with house-made syrups and cold-pressed juices; on the first-floor terrace, olive oil from Maison Kalios sets the tone for the summer season.

How many keys? 59 rooms and suites in total, from the 1st to the 6th floor. The rooms range from the Classic (24 m²) to the Executive (37 m²); above, six suites range from 60 to 210 m², all featuring a tree-lined terrace with a Norwegian bath or jacuzzi and a 180° view of the city—with a view of the Eiffel Tower as a bonus for some. The largest, the Annette Suite, spans 210 m² and features four private terraces.

What makes the difference? The «healthy body» philosophy, taken literally. Below the hotel, a fully equipped fitness center features a 22-meter pool, a sauna, a steam room, an indoor hot tub, and—more unusually—a salt cave; nearly a hundred group classes, both in the pool and in the gym, are held there every week, and the trainers are happy to push participants as far as boxing. When it comes to recovery, the treatments are by Clarins. It’s more like a high-energy neighborhood fitness club than a simple hotel spa.

The Fantasy

The setting? Behind a quiet facade on Rue Cadet, in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, designer Martin Brudnizki envisioned his first Parisian hotel as a flower opening toward the sky, from the spa tucked away in the basement all the way up to the rooftop. In a nod to the street—named after the Cadet brothers, market gardeners who once supplied the royal court—greenery abounds, and this 5-star boutique hotel remains one of the few in Paris to feature both a real garden and a rooftop terrace. The Michelin Guide has awarded it a Key.

The style? Brudnizki brings his botanical imagination right into the bedrooms: floral wallpaper, vintage furniture in bright colors—orange, turquoise—marble bathrooms, and retro Parisian details. The garden spills onto the walls as much as it does into the courtyard.

The rooftop? At the top, the Bar sur le Toit serves as a hanging garden: flowers galore, potted lemon trees, and light that shifts as the hours pass. Here, you can enjoy a high-altitude aperitif—carefully crafted classic cocktails and fresh, simple small bites to share—while your gaze sweeps over the rooftops, with the dome of Sacré-Cœur as a backdrop. As the neighborhood lights up below, you linger over your drinks and forget to head back down.

The restaurant? On the garden level, the restaurant serves cheerful, simple, seasonal French cuisine under the glass roof: dishes that highlight the best of local ingredients, with colorful, generous plates designed to be shared. On Rue Cadet, the Café offers a lively take on the same concept, from early morning until late at night, with a terrace that opens directly onto the neighborhood. Restaurant, Café, Rooftop Bar: three venues, three atmospheres.

How many keys? 73 in total: 63 rooms and 10 suites, facing either the garden or the street. The suites feature a terrace—some overlook the green courtyard, while others look out over the neighborhood rooftops.

What makes the difference? The secret lies beneath the street. Underground, there’s a spa you’d never guess existed from the outside: hot, floating, and cold baths, a hammam, and an infrared sauna beneath plant-themed mosaics, along with Holidermie treatments. The flower envisioned by Brudnizki takes shape there, in the dim light, and blooms all the way up on the rooftop.

SO/ Paris

The setting? Who would have bet that this old concrete prefecture building would become a bold 5-star hotel on the banks of the Seine between Bastille and Notre-Dame. This property, part of the Ennismore lifestyle group, occupies the top ten floors, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the City of Light, a Codage spa, and a restaurant that—naturally—features a rooftop that’s already legendary.

The style? It has a charmingly quirky vibe with its tulip-shaped columns and plump orange armchairs, straight out of the ’60s. But it’s also very modern, with its many pieces of contemporary art, and, finally, pleasantly warm, with its stone and wood.

The rooftop? It's at number 16e It all begins on the top floor, in this chic bar with its impeccable design: an interplay of mirrors, a black stone bar, and the deep blue of the carpet—a nod to the Seine. We curl up on this sofa, which undulates beneath its woolly, milky-white curls. And you treat yourself to the finest of delights: the 360° view that takes you on a tour of the capital’s legendary monuments. So take your time sipping a Hamer or a Bloody Bonnie. Who will be your Clyde?

The restaurant? One floor below, to get to know Bonnie: the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the Parisian restaurant From floor to ceiling, the atmosphere grabs you right away. A psychedelic carpet and benches with promising curves: the Space Age inspiration is definitely there. We made sure to reserve a table on the terrace, beneath this kaleidoscope of mirrors that reflects—almost—all of Paris: the artwork by Olafur Eliasson and Sébastian Behmann is just as dizzying as the view. We order a classic, so-French pea soup or the fried chicken with BBQ sauce: yes, the menu draws from both sides of the Atlantic and offers a few dishes to share, like the truffle croque-monsieur or the delicious Bonnie’s Brookie.

How many keys? Saffron yellow, shades of blue, wood, and leather: the 162 rooms exude beauty—a simple, delicate beauty, gently caressed by the light streaming in. Before turning off the light—depending on the view you’ve chosen—be sure to take a moment to admire the Angel of the Bastille or the Eiffel Tower.

What makes the difference? A throwback to the 1960s in terms of decor, and a three-part evening—all with that superb view from the bar to the restaurant—ending at the club with its disco-style atmosphere.

TOO Hotel

The setting? Heading to the 13th arrondissement, high in the sky: the TOO Hotel rises to the top of one of Jean Nouvel’s Duo Towers, like a castle suspended above Paris. Designed by Laurent Taïeb (Kong, Madame Rêve) and entirely conceived by Philippe Starck, this 4-star hotel has since joined Accor’s MGallery collection. Below, the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and other landmarks pass by—all visible from the bed.

The style? Inside, the decor bears Philippe Starck’s futuristic touch: bold lines, refined interiors, and glass everywhere, bringing Paris in from floor to ceiling. The most beautiful feature here is the view.

The rooftop? It’s the highlight of the venue—and the highest spot in Paris: TOO TacTac, a skybar perched 130 meters above the sidewalk. A panoramic lounge on one side, a huge open-air terrace on the other, and the city turning pink then gold as the sun sets. The atmosphere is truly electric, festive well into the night. People come here to raise a glass overlooking the void, with their noses in the clouds, and the distinct feeling that they’re no longer quite in Paris.

The restaurant? One floor below, on the 25th floor, TOO Restaurant is housed in a six-meter-high glass cube and is open year-round from morning to night. Chef Benjamin Six serves up contemporary, cosmopolitan cuisine featuring flavors from around the world—Angus beef tataki, crab hot pot, karaage chicken, and chakchouka—followed by desserts by Pierre Hermé. On Sundays, the restaurant serves what’s considered the capital’s highest brunch, at 120 meters.

How many keys? 139 rooms and suites, perched at the top of the tower, grouped into three categories based on the view: Eiffel Tower view, Seine view, or Downtown Paris view. All overlook the capital from above; some also feature a terrace.

What makes the difference? The contrast: after the party, calm. At TOO Chill, it’s time to feel weightless—a cedar sauna and, best of all, an outdoor hot tub overlooking the Seine, perfect for catching the sunrise. Soaking at this height as Paris awakens: pure extravagance, but the gentle kind.
