The most beautiful 5-star hotels in Paris often come down to a single detail: a village square two blocks from the Louvre, an 18th-century wrought-iron staircase, or a landscaped terrace on the top floor that frames the Eiffel Tower. In the fall, when the light fades early over the zinc rooftops, these are the best places from which to explore the capital.
Le Brach Paris
Located in the 16th arrondissement, a neighborhood that is both chic and discreet, Brach Paris, 5-star hotel in Paris In our opinion, it is the capital’s most iconic spot. Behind its contemporary façade lies a vibrant place where travelers from around the world mingle with local residents who come to enjoy the bar, the restaurant, or the suspended terrace with its vegetable garden and view of the Eiffel Tower.
Conceived by renowned designer Philippe Starck, this establishment challenges the conventions of traditional luxury to offer an experience that is at once bold, artistic, and deeply Parisian. Far from rigid decor, the Brach plays with materials, volumes, and colors to create a vibrant, sensual, and warm atmosphere. Every detail tells a story, from the custom-made furniture to the eclectic works of art that dot the common areas.
As for accommodations, the hotel features 59 light-filled rooms and suites that blend modern comfort with a vintage atmosphere. Each room has its own unique character: 1930s furniture, authentic materials, one-of-a-kind pieces, and traditional bookshelves—like a collection of stories—that reflect Starck’s signature style, all within spacious rooms (ranging from 24 to 37 m² for the guest rooms). The suites (ranging from 60 to 210 m²) enhance the experience with green terraces featuring Scandinavian-style baths or hot tubs. They also offer exceptional panoramic views of the Paris skyline, sometimes extending all the way to the Eiffel Tower.

Le Brach also cultivates a unique art of gastronomy and well-being. The restaurant, led by Chef Adam Bentalha, offers a sunny and elegant take on Mediterranean cuisine. The pastry shop, under the direction of Fabien Emery, offers sweet treats to enjoy on-site or take away. Sunday brunch, one of the most remarkable and generous in the capital, has quickly become a weekly ritual for guests seeking a friendly atmosphere. With its various spaces (restaurant, terrace, bar, rooftop), Le Brach was designed to welcome guests from dawn to dusk, like an urban oasis open to all.
In the basement, an impressive fitness complex evokes the atmosphere of 1930s boxing gyms—but with a touch of luxury. Individual workouts, group classes, and personalized coaching, as well as consultations with experts (in naturopathy, osteopathy, the Harawell method, and more) are offered here. An elegant Clarins and Precious by Clarins treatment area, a sauna, a steam room, a salt cave, and two pools (one of which is 22 meters long) round out this top-tier offering.
More than a luxury hotel in Paris, it’s an inspiring place where design becomes an experience in its own right—a tribute to the creative, elegant, and avant-garde capital.

The Great Powers
Located at the corner of Rue François 1er, just off Avenue Montaigne, the Grand Powers is housed in a Haussmann-style building that has been home to a hotel since 1920. A member of Small Luxury Hotels and awarded a Michelin Key, this 5-star hotel has retained its original Art Deco style, featuring geometric lines, brushed brass, and rich velvets.
The 50 rooms and suites feature different color schemes depending on the floor—powder pink, celadon green, or blue—and retain their moldings, period fireplaces, and Parisian oak parquet flooring. The custom-designed furniture pays homage to the design of the past 100 years, featuring lacquered finishes, marble, walnut, and silk. The Superior Room measures 20 m², the Deluxe Room 26 m², the Executive Room 31 m², and the Junior Suites 45 m², some with a balcony facing the Eiffel Tower. On the top floor, the Eiffel Tower Suite spans 60 m² and features a separate living room behind its double windows. The bathrooms are finished in white marble and brass, with bedding by Matelas Français and Diptyque products.

The Thala Spa, entirely clad in marble, is the hotel’s most delightful surprise: Holidermie treatments, a hammam, a sauna, and a hot tub—all open to Parisians and available for private use. Well-being permeates the rest of the stay, with yoga mats in every room, a gym fully equipped with Mat Fit accessories, low-sugar cocktails at the bar, and champagne vintages certified as “High Environmental Value” at Café 52, the restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Maxime Raab on the 8th floor.
For a 5-star hotel in the heart of Paris, within walking distance of the fashion houses, this is the boutique hotel we’d recommend without hesitation: a fireplace in the room, a yoga mat at the foot of the bed, and the Golden Triangle lying quiet behind the soundproof windows.

The Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal
Located next to the Louvre and the Tuileries Garden, on the unassuming Place de Valois, the setting for the series Emily in Paris, the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal is our favorite place to stay in the center of Paris. Behind a historic 18th-century façade, this 5-star hotel, distinguished with a Michelin Key, entrusted its interior design to Pierre-Yves Rochon, who designed each of the 59 rooms and suites individually around the original staircase with its wrought-iron banister, at the foot of which a giant trunk serves as a luggage rack.

The rooms range in size from 19 m² for a Superior Room to 70 m² for the Rooftop Suite, perched on the 7th and top floor, accessible by a private elevator and featuring a landscaped terrace with a 180-degree view of the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré-Cœur, the Opéra Garnier, and the Louvre. One level below, the Eiffel Tower Suite spans 55 m² across the top two floors. Throughout the hotel, the great names of French interior design come together: curtains by Pierre Frey, Rubelli, and Manuel Canovas; furniture by Philippe Hurel; lighting by Delisle; and original works of art hung in each room, from Michel Cornu’s triptych to the paintings by the Mexican artist Fitzia. The bouquets of dried flowers are by Debeaulieu.
On the ground floor, Café 52 Paris 1er—an Écotable-certified restaurant—serves up the organic, seasonal cuisine of executive chef Maxime Raab, formerly of Fouquet’s, on a terrace overlooking the square. In the basement, the Holidermie spa features a Michelin-starred hammam, a jacuzzi, and treatment rooms.
One of the most beautiful boutique hotels in the capital, and one of the few places in central Paris where you can enjoy a cup of coffee on your own terrace, with the Louvre on one side and the Sacré-Cœur on the other.

The Hotel Montalembert
Located in the heart of the legendary Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood, the Hôtel Montalembert perfectly embodies the spirit of the Left Bank: refined, intellectual, and deeply Parisian. It’s one of our favorite hotels in Paris, a place where the neighborhood’s classic charm meets contemporary luxury imbued with warmth and character. Premier Paris boutique hotel, Montalembert has always cultivated this confidential, elegant, and warm atmosphere, dear to the writers and artists who have made Saint-Germain-des-Prés legendary.
Behind its Haussmannian facade, an intimate interior is revealed, subtly renovated, where every detail has been designed for comfort and serenity. Warm tones, noble materials, and soft lighting create a hushed, almost residential atmosphere. The Restaurant in Paris, The neighborhood favorite extends this experience by offering contemporary French cuisine in a setting that is both chic and convivial.
The 40 guest rooms (ranging from 15 to 22 m²) and 12 suites (ranging from 25 to 40 m²) at the Hôtel Montalembert give guests the feeling of stepping into a genuine Parisian apartment. Featuring materials such as aged brass, ebony, and raw silk, they embody the French art of living. Some even feature a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. Located on the 7th and 8th floors, the suites offer a stunning panoramic view of the Paris rooftops and, at times, even the Eiffel Tower. As for the two signature suites, numbers 51 and 82, they are the work of Anne Jousse, the CEO of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts group. With their herringbone parquet floors, luxurious fabrics, and exceptional furnishings, these suites are true masterpieces. Anne Jousse has incorporated her favorite pieces into them, as well as a selection of paintings by the artist Jean-Pierre Bourquin, whom she particularly admires.

At the restaurant—a true gathering place for neighborhood residents and professionals—Chef Cyril Russo offers a refined, seasonal culinary experience, where the classics of French cuisine are elevated to delight diners. As soon as the warm weather arrives, guests can enjoy the elegant terrace, and when temperatures drop, the warm and inviting fireplace lounge draws visitors in. In 2024, a spa also opened at the Hotel Montalembert, designed by the architectural firm Batiik, to offer a moment of absolute relaxation after exploring the attractions of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
Please note: Our concierge service, certified by “Clef d’Or,” will be happy to offer you its best advice on how to enjoy Paris and this iconic neighborhood. The Montalembert is just a 5-minute walk from the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, near Rue du Bac, antique shops, and art galleries.

The Hotel de Sers
In the heart of the Golden Triangle, just steps away from the world’s most famous avenue, our favorite boutique hotel on the Champs-Élysées embodies Parisian elegance in all its modernity. Far from the hustle and bustle of the major chains, this hotel charms guests with its personalized service and attention to detail. Each space has been designed as a cozy retreat, where design, comfort, and refinement blend seamlessly to offer a unique experience.

Our favorite: the Marquis’s Apartment. Perched on the 7th floor of the Hôtel de Sers, it is a 75-square-meter private residence designed to accommodate four people. It subtly reinterprets the spirit of the Marquis de Sers, after whom it is named, in an elegant, understated, and light-filled setting adorned with sculptures, plaster busts, antique paintings, and classic furniture. Every detail has been meticulously thought out to offer the comfort of a high-end Parisian apartment, perfect for an extended stay in complete privacy. We love the wall hangings, the iridescent beige curtains, the powder-pink sofa, and the cushions beautifully adorned with floral motifs.
This apartment rounds out a comprehensive range of accommodations, consisting of 43 rooms (20 to 33 m²) and 9 suites (40 to 60 m²), including 3 signature suites offering breathtaking views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower from spacious, sun-drenched terraces.

The Hotel Vernet
One block from the Arc de Triomphe, on a quiet street in the Golden Triangle that bears his name, Hôtel Vernet is one of our favorite boutique hotels in the neighborhood. Behind the Haussmannian stone of a 1913 building, this 5-star hotel off the Champs-Élysées has made contemporary art its signature: works of art in the hallways and lounges, the ceiling of the lounge bar adorned with a creation by Jean-Michel Alberola, the establishment is traversed like a private gallery.
But what makes this hotel particularly remarkable is its monumental glass roof designed by Gustave Eiffel. Under this iron and glass structure, flooded with light all day long, the restaurant Le V welcomes Chef Baldassare Mazzara, who reinterprets the Sicilian flavors of his childhood in a precise and sunny Mediterranean fusion cuisine, one of the finest hotel dining experiences in the 8th arrondissement.

Regarding accommodation, the 50 rooms and suites are designed by François Champsaur. The interior designer has created a dialogue between Haussmannian heritage and contemporary lines, with extensive use of oak, Arpin throws, Pierre Frey fabrics, and original marble. The room sizes range from 18 m² for the Superior room to 100 m² for the three-bedroom interconnecting Suite. We have a soft spot for the Executive Balcony, which expands to include a private balcony overlooking the Parisian rooftops. The Clefs d'Or conciergerie curates bespoke Parisian experiences, and the naturally lit fitness area complements the offerings, extended by in-room treatments upon reservation.
Green Key certified, Le Vernet boasts a «Modern Art Story» signature that is evident from the moment you step inside. A five-star, human-scale establishment where Parisian Parisian art of living in the neighborhood combines with genuine contemporary graphic sensibility.

SAX Paris
Facing the Eiffel Tower, on Avenue de Saxe, which lends it its name, the 5-star SAX Paris, now part of Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts collection, is already among our favorite Left Bank addresses. Behind its facade, 118 rooms and suites share a common vocabulary: marble, clean lines, and minibars curated by Le Bon Marché. The spaces range from 258 sq ft for the SAX Room to 861 sq ft for the Signature Suite, the largest at the hotel, with the Prestige Junior Suite measuring 538 sq ft. Some rooms overlook the rooftops of the 7th arrondissement, while others face the tranquil landscaped garden; a Deluxe room with a terrace adds a private slice of the sky.
