With the Croisette nearby, the sea as a backdrop, and the hills of the hinterland, these spa hotels stand elegantly in Cannes and feature renowned wellness facilities.
Barrière Le Majestic Cannes Hotel
In the heart of Cannes, the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic is an institution in the landscape of the seaside town on the French Riviera. Just a stone's throw from the steps of the Palais des Festivals, the five-star hotel Every year, it attracts the biggest celebrities for the iconic Cannes Film Festival, as well as the international jet set, who come to enjoy the summer season. Behind its immaculate Art Deco façade with red awnings lies a beautifully decorated lobby where guests are welcomed with the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Several bars and restaurants cater to guests’ needs, including Pierre Gagnaire’s iconic Fouquet’s brasserie, the Mediterranean restaurant Le Paradiso, and the BFire grill by Mauro Colagreco. As is customary in Cannes, lunch on the private beach is highly recommended for a romantic moment for two while the children have fun at the Barrière hotels’ renowned Kids Club, called Studio by Petit VIP.
The grand hotel features 349 elegantly and classically decorated guest rooms, including the 420m² Christian Dior Suite—a true embodiment of haute couture—and the 450m² Majestic Suite, which features a 150m² terrace and a private pool. For relaxation, the Diane Barrière spa spans 450m² in a serene and luxurious atmosphere. Guests can enjoy personalized treatments featuring multisensory experiences and the “Chill Out” massage with warm seashells. Several brands round out the treatment offerings: Biologique Recherche, KOS, and Bonpoint. The Hair Couture line by Balmain Paris is perfect for a beauty treatment. Also worth noting is the hotel’s outdoor pool, which spa hotel in Cannes, heated to 29 degrees all year round.

The Gray of Albion
Another hotel under the Barrière Group umbrella for a weekend at the beach : Le Gray d’Albion, a four-star hotel located near luxury boutiques, the legendary Croisette, and cultural attractions. Here, the refined atmosphere stems from the combination of designer furniture and luxurious materials, such as the marble and leather of the armchairs that adorn the common areas. A true haven of peace, this Cannes hotel features 200 rooms bathed in light streaming through large floor-to-ceiling windows. The vast majority of these rooms have a terrace overlooking the city or the garden, sometimes with the sea as a backdrop. While the decor appeals to all types of guests, the rooms still possess a distinct character, featuring dark wenge wood, brown carpet with wavy patterns, and fabrics with graphic designs.
The private beach, charmingly named Mademoiselle Gray, has a bohemian vibe and offers cuisine with Lebanese influences to enjoy with your feet in the sand. The main advantage of Le Gray d’Albion is its proximity to the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic, allowing guests to take advantage of the latter’s amenities. The Kid’s Club and the Diane Barrière Spa are thus available to guests.

Carlton Hotel Cannes
It’s hard not to mention the Hôtel Carlton Cannes. A symbol of the city’s hospitality scene, this legendary hotel reopened its doors in the spring of 2023 after five years of renovation. Even more stunning than before, this Cannes legend features 332 guest rooms and 37 ultra-luxurious residences with breathtaking ocean views. Always exuding the utmost refinement, the dining venues stand out for their flavors—sometimes Mediterranean (Riviera Restaurant), sometimes Anatolian (Rüya Restaurant). The °58 Bar, with its superb jazz evenings, and the Camélia Lounge, with its delicious pastries accompanied by the sounds of a harpist performing on weekends, offer a wonderful musical lineup. Not to mention the beach club, open whenever the sun shines on Cannes.
When it comes to wellness, the C Club Spa combines holistic rituals with cutting-edge technology, in collaboration with the brands Barbara Sturm, Dr. Burgener, SwissLine, Philip B, and Wesak Paris. Lip-perfecting treatments, lymphatic drainage, and LED facials are offered alongside more traditional massages. As for the pool at this luxury spa hotel, it is located on the edge of the garden.

Martinez Hotel
With the large letters “MARTINEZ” towering over the building, it’s impossible to miss this hotel on the French Riviera overlooking the sea. Built in the Art Deco style, this iconic Hyatt property, which has been in operation since 1929, features 410 rooms and suites designed by Pierre Yves Rochon, including no fewer than 116 suites and two penthouse apartments on the 7thth spanning two floors with a total area of 1,250 m² and featuring large panoramic terraces. The restaurants led by Jean Imbert are well known among food lovers: La Palme d’Or, Le Sud, and La Plage du Martinez.
L’Oasis du Martinez – Spa by Carita, a premier beauty and cosmetics brand, is nestled in a lush garden spanning 2,800 m². The hammam, sensory shower, relaxation room, heated outdoor pool, and fitness center complement the spa’s 600 m², which features seven treatment rooms where guests can be pampered with massages and facial treatments. A hair and beauty salon is also part of the offerings.

Cap Antibes Beach Hotel
Although it isn’t strictly located in Cannes, the Cap Antibes Beach Hotel—just a few minutes’ drive from the seaside resort—is still worth adding to your list of places to book for a stay in the south. Especially since this Relais & Châteaux property has recently undergone a makeover and truly sets itself apart from its counterparts on the French Riviera. Combining glamour with a laid-back vibe, this poetic hotel exudes a Californian atmosphere characterized by vintage furniture, concrete accents, and a rather unique lighting scheme enhanced by the interplay of materials and minimalist architecture.
There are only 35 rooms, promising a rather intimate getaway far from the large hotels of the French Riviera. Stone floors, white paneling, pink marble, and wooden furniture adorn the rooms. There are two restaurants worth trying: the Michelin-starred Les Pêcheurs by Nicolas Rondelli and the Baba restaurant and bar, which specializes in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, where you can dine with your feet in the sand. You’ll love the candy-pink beach umbrellas on the private beach right in front of the hotel and the water that laps at its shore.
And while the infinity pool invites you to take a few laps in the sun and the sensory pool seems to stretch endlessly into the sea, the treatments in the relaxation area are by Holidermie and are designed to have a holistic effect on both body and mind. We recommend the signature rituals, including the facial treatment with a full-face mask made of natural rose quartz stones and the draining and contouring body massage, both of which can be enjoyed in one of the two outdoor treatment rooms. Yoga classes, in partnership with Tigre Yoga, are also offered in the exotic garden and on the rooftop terrace. Yoga and Pilates retreats are also available during the off-season.
