In Brittany, romance tastes of salt and wind, with the changing light of the Atlantic and the discreet charm of seaside retreats. From intimate manors to designer hotels overlooking the waves, these exceptional accommodations offer a break for two, with breakfasts offering panoramic views of the horizon, candlelit dinners featuring local produce, and spas where you can be lulled by the murmur of the waves. Back to the best hotels in Brittany.

Domaine de la Battlements

Nestled beside the verdant gates of Brittany, the 5-star Domaine de la Bretesche unfolds its timeless elegance facing the peaceful shimmer of a lake, reflecting the towers of its 15th-century castle. Here, aristocratic charm combines with sincere hospitality, offering an exceptional escape about an hour from Nantes.

This Romantic hotel in Brittany, stamped Relais & Châteaux, offers 25 rooms, 6 suites, and 9 private villas ranging from 40 to 60 m² for 2 to 4 people, all unique in their decor: restored antique woodwork, powdered hues, and refined textiles. Some rooms offer views of the castle, the lake, or the Cour Carrée, while all accommodations are located in the historic outbuildings, blending architectural heritage with modern comfort.

The gastronomic experience reaches its peak at Le Montaigu restaurant, orchestrated by chef Filipe Silvestre, a refined table where products from the Breton terroir and the estate's vegetable garden are expressed through creative cuisine. Diners savor bold pairings, seated in a vast dining room open to the lake.

To extend the tranquility of your stay, the 400 m² Spa de la Cour Carrée, designed by Cinq Mondes and Omnisens, invites you to relax: a 14-meter indoor pool, treatment rooms, a relaxation area under a glass roof, and sensory rituals. Le Domaine de la Bretesche thus cultivates an approach to luxury based on the surrounding nature.

Large HHotel Dinard

Le Grand Hôtel Dinard, one of the most beautiful 5-star hotels in Dinard, unfolds its light silhouette facing the bay, in that special light of the Emerald Coast which blends azure, granite, and iodine. Here, seaside elegance is experienced naturally, between the Moonlight promenade, Belle Époque villas, and a masterful view of the ramparts of Saint-Malo.

The establishment offers 86 rooms and suites, for a total of 86 keys, all air-conditioned, entirely renovated by architect Alexandre Danan in a palette of deep blues and sandy beiges that extends the outdoor spectacle. Some rooms open onto the sea, others onto the private garden or the rooftops of Dinard, creating cocoons that are both intimate and bright.

At Le George V restaurant, Chef Wilfried Lacaille's shared cuisine highlights Breton products in a warm atmosphere, perfect for a dinner with friends around the flavors of the sea. The Shiseido Spa complements this getaway, with a heated pool, sauna, steam room, and fitness room, for a wellness experience that is savored as much as the ocean views.

The Bassans, Fontenille Collection

Certainly one of the most beautiful Hotels in Perros-Guirec, This boutique hotel from Fontenille Collection is housed in an early 20th-century seaside manor. Les Bassans overlooks the Pink Granite Coast from its promontory, facing the Sept-Îles archipelago and the subtle shifts of the English Channel. Upon arrival, the silhouette of this Perros-Guirec manor, with its pink granite and slate roofs, evokes the refined seaside resorts of yesteryear, while the interior plays a contemporary, intimate, and bright melody. There's no doubt, this is a unique place!

The house has 25 rooms, all overlooking the sea, conceived as elegant cabins facing the horizon. Wood paneling inspired by 1930s ocean liners, understated brass, and sand and cream textiles create cozy cocoons where telescopes invite observation of seabirds and the ballet of the tides from the bed or the armchair by the window.

In the restaurant, large bay windows frame the English Channel like a living painting, and the menu highlights Breton products, offering a maritime and modern cuisine that reinvents seafood classics using local sourcing. The bar extends this chic ship-like ambiance with a warm atmosphere, ideal for a nightcap while watching the lights settle on the water.

The spa, inspired by marine elements, offers a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, solarium, and treatment rooms for a wellness break focused on the rejuvenation of body and mind, always with the sea as a subtle theme.

The’Love

Ideal hotel for a romantic getaway in Brittany, L'Agapa stands proudly facing the turbulent horizon of the English Channel and the silhouette of the Seven Islands. In this revisited 1930s Art Deco architecture, glass, granite, and light create a minimalist setting where you immediately feel welcomed, like a privileged guest in a grand, contemporary 5-star home.

The hotel, renovated in 2022, has a total of 45 rooms and suites, spread across three buildings, all designed to capture the Breton view and light. Whether overlooking the landscaped garden or the sea, they offer a graphic and soft atmosphere, with interplay of black, white, and natural materials that highlight the outdoor spectacle. Some rooms feature a balcony or terrace, perfect for a breakfast at sunrise or a last drink facing the open sea.

The restaurant Le Bélouga, orchestrated by chef Steve Carda, opens fully onto the bay. The dining room, entirely transparent, complements a precise and oceanic cuisine where products from the Côte de Granit Rose are treated with creativity without ever losing their clarity. You can dine there in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, set to the rhythm of the ebb and flow of the tides.

At the Codage spa, the interlude continues with a large indoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and treatment rooms. Between a custom massage and a few laps overlooking the changing sky, the Agapa becomes a true vantage point for the landscape as well as a refuge for body and mind.
