It is right in the heart of the Luberon Carmen and Werner R. Wunderli, passionate homeowners, welcome you. Coquillade Village is much more than just a hotel. Today, it’s hard to believe that this idyllic spot was merely a hamlet in the 11th century. A true haven for relaxation, sports, and culinary exploration, Coquillade Village is as surprising as it is inspiring.

We’re pretty sure you’ll fall in love with Coquillade Village the moment you arrive. Far from being just another luxury hotel, this five-star Relais & Châteaux property (since 2011) is a village in its own right, featuring 63 rooms and suites. Here, you’ll feel right at home, and the focus is on a luxurious yet discreet and family-friendly experience that’s supremely comfortable and relaxed.

We recommend choosing one of the suites: the Deluxe Suites are absolutely stunning. From 75 m2, they have their own terrace as well as a garden with a private pool and hot tub. Would you like to stay with the kids? Then the family suites are perfect for you! They can accommodate up to two adults and three children and feature a very cozy private area.

Coquillade Village is one of the most sought-after destinations in the south of France. One of the main reasons? Its leisure facilities and sports activities. The spa alone is an oasis of well-being. It spans nearly 2,000 m2 Entirely dedicated to your relaxation and wellness needs: a large sauna overlooking the vineyards, a hammam, as well as a steam bath, Kneipp pools, an ice fountain, sensory shower, a huge heated indoor pool, outdoor hot tubs under the olive trees, a relaxation room with a view of the vineyards, a herbal tea lounge, and a weight training and cardio room (featuring state-of-the-art Technogym equipment). Yes, the list is long and truly inspiring.

The Coquillade Village SPA & Wellness Center has, in fact, received three major awards over the past two years: Best Luxury Day Spa in Western Europe and Best Luxury Spa in Europe in 2018 for its treatment programs. As for the Village’s star massage therapist, Gilles, he won the “Best Hands in France” award for his senso shiatsu massage in 2017, making him one of Europe’s top specialists!

The skincare products are from Coquillade Village.

Whether or not you’re athletic, you’ll have plenty of activities to choose from: the fitness center lets you take group classes (aquabike, yoga, bodyball, etc.) and also enjoy private coaching. Are you staying with your family? Then head to the huge swimming pools—or maybe you’d prefer to play a game of tennis or ping-pong.

The BMC Cycling Center should also appeal to fans of cycling and leisure rides. There, you can rent e-bikes to explore the hilltop villages with your family.

Need some inspiration? Nadège, a former professional cyclist and former teammate of Jeannie Longo who runs the center, can suggest about ten routes, no matter what your skill level.

Why not, for example, take the beautiful Calavon bike path, which runs just 200 meters from the hotel and follows the valley for more than 40 kilometers? It’s perfect for families or couples!

In a nutshell

  • A sun-drenched spot, a secluded, upscale vacation village.
  • Everything has been designed so you don't have to leave the comfort of your home.
  • A vacation that combines sports, fine dining, and relaxation for the whole family.

The Coquillade Restaurant

Awarded two toques by Gault & Millau, the Coquillade restaurant specializes in Mediterranean flavors, placing vegetables (from the garden) at the heart of the menu. In a magnificent setting, you can enjoy a family dinner and discover the gourmet creations of Chef Thierry Enderlin and Pastry Chef Aurélien Trousse.

Relying on local partners and a cuisine that makes extensive use of herbs and ultra-fresh vegetables grown in the restaurant’s garden, Thierry Enderlin brilliantly reinterprets the great classics of French cuisine.

With the kids

Kids are king at La Coquillade: there’s a Kids Club available during school breaks. With entertainment and activities, they’re supervised by certified staff. For the little ones, babysitting services are also available. And because your little princess might want to do what Mom does, Coquillade Village has created a treatment menu specially tailored for children: the Kids Spa.

Swimming, tennis and ping-pong matches, bike rides on quiet, safe paths… you probably won’t have time to do it all. The Village des Automates and the Bruoux Mines are also great options for day trips.

Inspiration

Shopping
Coquillade Village has its own vineyard, Aureto. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring home a souvenir, give a wonderful gift, or simply treat yourself: Alouette by Aureto, Autan, Tramontane, and other wines await you in the hotel shop.

Out for a walk
Head to the BMC Cycling Center to rent bikes for the whole family and go for a ride at your own pace. The more athletic among you might decide to cycle up to the hilltop villages, while others might prefer to rent an e-bike for a full or half day (ask the hotel to pack you a picnic). The Luberon is sure to charm you, and the lavender fields will enchant you.

ZenThe spa's treatment menu will probably make your head spin. However, if we had to choose, we'd recommend the Coquillade Signature Massage, the 90-minute Provençal Escape with a complimentary body care product, or the Senso-Shiatsu Massage (winner of the 2017 national competition).

In the suitcase
Your best cycling outfit or your 72 swimsuits—whichever you prefer.
