The Minimes Convent
The place in Mane near Manosque, in the Haute-Provence of Jean Giono.
The Hotel This exceptional building, which housed the mendicant order of the Minims from 1613 until the Revolution, was transformed, just fifteen years ago, into a luxurious 5-star hotel featuring a beautiful L’Occitane spa. Fabien and Valérie Piacentino, the hosts who had recently decided to expand the spa, ultimately rethought and rearranged the entire estate. An extensive project that, after three years of work, now offers an enlarged and enhanced establishment. Thanks to the work of a team of archaeologists, the monks' path has been rediscovered and a disused chapel transformed into a comfortable reception lounge. Architects designed a monumental staircase to connect the chapel to the cloister, while the rooms and suites were redecorated and a new swimming pool was built in the garden... The highlight of this renovation is undoubtedly the new L’Occitane spa, presented as the flagship of all L’Occitane spas worldwide. Designed by architect Anthony Micoud, it spans 2500m² with a dry and wet area. In total: 10 treatment rooms, two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor), a hammam, two saunas, a sensory pool for an aquatic journey, a salt cave, sensory showers, and light therapy equipment... With its two restaurants (the bistrot Pamparigouste and the gastronomic restaurant, Le Feuillée) led by the young and talented Louis Gachet, Le Couvent des Minimes is the event of the year.
The Seminar Moment Regularly chosen by companies for product launches, Le Couvent des Minimes is fully privatizable. It features an event space on the ground floor of the new Spa area, including a large meeting room with natural light that can accommodate up to 150 people. It's a flexible venue with an adjoining kitchen and all the necessary equipment for video conferencing.
The moment of relaxation During the good weather, activities naturally take place around the large outdoor pool, in the surrounding countryside on the provided bicycles, or on the pétanque court for lively games… Of course, the magnificent L’Occitane Spa will be the unmissable meeting place after a day of work.
Furthermore, Le Couvent des Minimes invites its guests to enter the very heart of L'Occitane with a visit to the factory in Manosque. This is an opportunity to discover the manufacturing process in the laboratories and workshops and to participate in sensory activities. The tour route also includes a walk through the Mediterranean Garden where wild and cultivated species used for skincare and perfumes grow.
