The Best Hotels and Bed-and-Breakfasts in the Perche: Five Places for an Intimate, Countryside Getaway
August 29, 2025 Kimberley Prouvost

Just a few hours from Paris, the Perche region reveals a rolling, wooded countryside dotted with manor houses, old farmhouses, and villages whose charm remains intact and timeless. This off-the-beaten-path region, straddling Normandy and the Centre-Val de Loire, has become the go-to retreat for travelers seeking a chic escape and a connection with nature. With its peaceful atmosphere, farmers’ markets, and artisan workshops, here is our selection of The best hotels and bed-and-breakfasts in the Perche region.

Casa Pertica – A Taste of Italy Nestled Among the Perche Hills

Inspired by the guesthouses of Tuscanyane Ranked among the top five hotels and bed-and-breakfasts in the Perche region, Casa Pertica proudly embraces its Mediterranean identity while remaining deeply rooted in the local Perche culture. Located in Ceton, within the walls of a completely renovated 17th-century farmhouse, this hidden gem welcomes its guests into a serene, wooded setting. The property features three bright cottages and a 70-square-meter suite scattered throughout a landscaped park, surrounded by lavender, wildflowers, and century-old trees.

Each apartment tastefully combines fine materials—antique hardwood floors, exposed stone, glazed tiles, and light wood—with minimalist decor featuring Italian accents: handcrafted pendant lights, Mediterranean ceramics, and washed linen textiles. The breakfast terrace, the heated pool, and the self-service kitchen enhance this feeling of a chic vacation home.

When it comes to dining, the table d’hôtes—available by reservation—showcases local products (free-range chicken, organic eggs, local cheeses) and traditional Italian recipes given a generous new twist.

All in all, one of the best bed-and-breakfasts in the Perche region for slowing down the pace of life, between visits to flea markets and walks in the forest...

Le Moulin de Radray – An Authentic Getaway by the Water

Just a stone’s throw from Mortagne-au-Perche, the Moulin de Radray stands in the heart of an idyllic setting where the murmur of the La Chippe River blends with birdsong. Set amid an estate spanning more than one and a half hectares, this mill—passionately restored by Christine, a devoted lover of living heritage—stands as a poetic retreat dedicated to reconnection, history, and nature.

Inside, there is a two-bedroom suite on the ground floor, with a separate entrance, a private bathroom, and a direct view of the river. Upstairs, a bright dormitory sleeps up to four people in a simple and cozy atmosphere—ideal, for example, when you’re out hiking.

Breakfast is served in the garden or under the glass roof, featuring homemade jams, fresh bread, apple juice from the Perche region, and herbal teas picked just a stone’s throw away. In the evening, upon request, Christine prepares a homemade meal using local ingredients to extend your experience here just a little longer.

Do we love it? More than just a place to stay, the mill also houses a small educational exhibit dedicated to its history as a mill and an ongoing project to restore the waterwheel to working order, as part of a sustainable development initiative.

In short, people come here to unwind, read under the trees, follow the course of the river, or take part in one of the workshops focused on nature, wellness, or the history of the place. One of the best bed-and-breakfasts in the Perche region—a discreet, welcoming place that defies traditional hotel standards.
