Travel has always been different depending on each person's perspective. Edda Onorato takes us on a journey with her simple and fresh recipes. Her two favorite countries, Italy and France, can be found in her cooking.
But also recipes from around the world, where during her many travels she was able to discover the culinary traditions of the locals, incorporating her signature touch. Meet this Italian by birth and French by adoption!

JR : For you, traveling is synonymous with...?
Discovery, escape, but also the desire to revisit the places, people, and flavors we love. Traveling does me good; I always come back full of energy, ideas, and enriched on a human level.
JR : What is the first item you put in your suitcase? Why?
The camera and the swimsuit. The former is my companion for capturing moments in life, details, memories, even if the most beautiful sensations are mostly in my head. And the latter, which doesn't take up much space, because you never know, there will always be a place to swim.

JR : When you travel in dreams, where do you go?
It depends on the seasons. When it's very gray in Paris, I dream of the Mediterranean, islands, or exotic beaches. And in the summer when it's hot, I sometimes long for mountains and forests.
JR : Your worst travel memory?
Fortunately, I don't have too many bad travel memories (just unforeseen events or minor problems that we laugh about now). Let's just say that lack of hygiene or very bad food leave me with a poor memory.
JR : A perfume that invites you to escape?
Jasmine, citrus, and vanilla.

JR : What is your next destination?
The closest is Italy, of course! Otherwise, we would love to travel to Thailand and Japan.
JR : What is your favorite hotel? For what reasons?
A comfortable hotel with beautiful spaces and a great view (important!). A place to relax, to feel at home yet somewhere else at the same time, and to move around as if it were a second home. The hotel is an integral part of the landscape and the travel experience.

JR : What do you do to pass the timeAn airplane?
I read and watch movies.
JR : What is your best travel memory from when you were a child?
More than a destination (there are many and I've had the same adult feelings), it was my first plane trip with my mom. I must have been three years old and I was very excited. I remember strong emotions (takeoff, landing, the view from the sky), but also being so pampered by the flight attendants, my family... I haven't forgotten it.
JR : You feel at home when you are...?
In a beautiful place and in good company.
