January 23, 2026 Pauline

Between Courchevel, Méribel, and Val Thorens, the 3 Vallées ski area boasts some of the finest alpine addresses. With direct ski-in/ski-out access, high-altitude spas, renowned restaurants, and spectacular summit views, these establishments embody an exceptional mountain lifestyle. Selected for their prime locations and the quality of their services, these hotels are among the most beautiful in the 3 Vallées, offering an ideal setting to fully enjoy one of the world's largest ski resorts.

La Chaudanne, Méribel

At the foot of the slopes and in the beating heart of Méribel, La Chaudanne has cultivated a mountain lifestyle since 1964, largely thanks to its exceptional location. Here, you can put on your skis almost from the hotel threshold, with direct access to the 3 Valleys ski area and its legendary kilometers of slopes. A true alpine crossroads, this four-star establishment also allows you to walk to shops, entertainment, and hiking trails, summer and winter. Inside, the cozy chic atmosphere extends the experience, with warm wood, generous volumes, and rooms widely open to the mountains. After a day on the slopes, gather around the festive atmosphere of the Le 80 brasserie or treat yourself to a wellness break at the NUXE spa, before plunging back into the resort's buzz. A central and lively address, ideal for fully enjoying Méribel, and which naturally stands out among the Most beautiful hotels in the 3 Valleys.

Fouquet's, Courchevel

Dominating the Bellecôte slope and located just a few minutes' walk from the center, Fouquet's stands out as one of 5-star hotels in Courchevel the most unique on the slopes. Inaugurated in 2016, this high-altitude palace reinterprets the chalet spirit with a contemporary touch, where comfort is experienced without ostentation. Right from the lobby, the decor sets the tone: an enveloping world made of various types of wood, punctuated by wooden and wool sheep sculptures gathered around a central fireplace. The decor, designed by Nathalie Ryan, playfully subverts Alpine codes, as evidenced by the spectacular staircase chandelier, a cascade of white and translucent spheres evoking falling snowflakes, or the corridor carpet, designed like ski tracks in the powder.

The 22 rooms and 20 suites showcase this mountain atmosphere in spaces adorned with light wood, some featuring balconies or terraces. Wool throws, lambskin seats, and coffee tables carved from massive logs: every detail contributes to this feeling of a chic refuge. The highlight remains the 206 m² Suite Les Neiges, with a fireplace and butler service, while the 310 m² duplex penthouse, Apartment Les Neiges, with three bedrooms, is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking space and open views of the peaks.

In terms of lifestyle, the Loulou restaurant has established itself as a central hub of the hotel. In a very mountain-themed setting, you can savor the house's Italian specialties: truffle pizza, pasta al pomodoro, from breakfast until late in the evening. The Spa & Wellness Les Neiges completes the experience with its 1,000 m² dedicated to recovery: a 20-meter indoor swimming pool, an aquatic circuit, hammam, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, and a Balmain Hair Couture area. Treatments by Biologique Recherche, Hydrafacial, and Nooance extend this alpine interlude where luxury is experienced in detail and fluidity.

Le Savoy, Méribel

Ideally located in the heart of Meribel Located in the heart of the resort, just 50 meters from the slopes of the 3 Valleys ski area, Le Savoy hotel is an excellent choice for both winter sports enthusiasts and those who enjoy strolling through the lively streets of the resort or snowshoeing. This 4-star hotel offers all the ingredients for a successful stay with family or friends, in a warm and elegant atmosphere.

The decor blends natural wood and warm hues, both in the common areas and in the 38 rooms and suites. Designed as true alpine cocoons, they are distinguished by zesty touches and, for the most part, by an unobstructed view of the mountains, sometimes extended by a balcony or terrace.

After skiing, Le Savoy transforms into a real hub of activity. You can linger at the bar for a delicious snack before continuing the evening with cocktails and tapas. Then, head to Le Resto, the hotel's restaurant, where the room, entirely clad in wood and bathed in natural light, creates a friendly, mountain-lodge ambiance. The menu features traditional dishes, with a special mention for the desserts.

Finally, the hotel spa, freely accessible to guests, completes the experience with a Finnish sauna, a hammam, and a menu of massages offered by appointment, a welcome break after a day spent on the slopes.

Altapura, Val Thorens

At the entrance to the highest station in Europe, Val Thorens, Altapura, 5 stars, claims its status as «the highest ski palace.» Behind its grand contemporary chalet facade, interior designer Christophe Bachmann has preserved the 1970s spirit that accompanied the resort's birth: iconic pieces from Knoll or Vitra, clean lines, and clear references to modernist design. In the lounge, one can appreciate the more private nooks, the contemporary fireplace, the library, and the large picture windows opening onto Cime Caron, an iconic summit of the 3 Vallées domain.

The 88 rooms and suites boast generous dimensions. Their atmosphere evokes ski chalets designed by Charlotte Perriand: light wood, refined textiles by Manuel Canovas, and Elitis duvets. The vast bay windows offer beautiful views of the slopes and cleverly conceal heated wardrobes and shelves, particularly appreciated after a day in the snow.

When it comes to dining, there's plenty of variety. At La Laiterie, surrounded by large milk cans, fondue and raclette are the stars. Casa Alta offers an elegant Italian menu, while Altayaki serves up inspired cuisine blending Asian techniques with contemporary influences. A lively bar and a panoramic terrace complete the offering. Finally, the Spa by CODAGE features six treatment rooms (including one for couples), an indoor/outdoor pool with a view, a hammam, sauna, experience showers, and an ice igloo. Not to mention the Kid's Corner, designed for the youngest guests.
